A Unique Approach

MIRACLES® is an after-school program that leverages technology in innovative ways to build technology, education and life skills for at-risk children.

MIRACLES is a comprehensive, multi-year program designed to have a sustained impact on the young people it serves.  The program, which follows a structured curriculum, is instructor-led and outcome-based, currently operates 20 labs in seven cities across the country.  The seven-year program begins in 6th grade and continues through high-school graduation.

MIRACLES goes beyond simply providing kids with access to the Internet, hardware and software.  The program builds technology skills to increase employability, enhances educational skills to build reading and math ability, and augments life skills to create better citizens. 

The MIRACLES program is deployed in schools and community-based organizations throughout America.  The MIRACLES suite of resources includes hardware and software, Internet connectivity, an online database to measure student performance, a comprehensive curriculum with detailed daily lesson plans, and ongoing technical support.  Critical to the program’s success is the personal, hands-on attention provided by three rigorously trained instructors who work closely with the 20 students in each lab.

In addition, the innovative technology labs are often used as community technology centers where adult literacy classes, computer fundamentals for older adults, and other educational programming are taught.
